Tanacetum parthenicum

What it is supposed to do:

Used in migraine headaches, nausea, vomiting, arthritis, fever

How it is supposed to work:

Considered to have anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and anti-spasmodic effects.

Toxic effects:

Rebound headache, oral ulcers, gastro-intestinal disturbances; insufficient clinical data on safety during pregnancy and lactation; may potentiate effects of anticoagulants and aspirin

Does it work?

Majority of studies favor feverfew over placebo in prevention of migraine headaches; not helpful in one study of treatment of rheumatoid arthritis
